History Bowl

KAIS recently participated in an international history quiz competition. This was the largest tournament of its kind yet held in Asia, and we won it. Based on these results, we qualified for the Asian Championships. Congratulations, champion Llamas!


Nagano Trip

In early October, KAIS students and teachers embarked on a journey to beautiful Nagano. We were able to engage in many outdoor activities that helped us get in touch with nature as well as visit some historical sites.

Thailand History Bowl!

This year KAIS won the regional International History bowl and Bee competition and will be travelling to compete in the world finals in Thailand! The competition will be held at the Marriott resort in Phuket starting Saturday, June 13. Good luck KAIS


Ducks are here!

As their year end science project, the KAIS junior high school students spent 27 days incubating duck eggs and watching their development. As of last week, adorable ducks hatched and have become the stars of KAIS!


Graduation this Saturday

Hanami Party

On Friday, April 3rd we will hold our annual hanami potluck! Students will have a 1/2 day of classes and head to Nakameguro Park. We will have games, food and enjoy the beautiful sakura. Please cook some food and bring it to share!


KAIS takes history bowl!

KAIS is the national champion of the International History Bowl! Frankie took the gold medal and Jacob the silver medal in the individual competition. Way to go, gentlemen!


Student led conferences

Our annual Student Led Parent Teacher Conferences (SLPTC) are just around the corner. Each year KAIS students have the opportunity to show their parents their accomplishments so far and plan out a course for the rest of the year.


KAIS Ski trip

KAIS is hitting the slopes! On the last weekend of January, KAIS will be heading to the Minakami area for our annual ski trip. This year we expect to bring our largest group ever and are excited for fun in the snow.

Last weekend, on November 15th, the KAIS robotics club headed to ASIJ for our first major robotics competition of the year. Of our three teams, all made it to the elimination rounds and one went as far as the semi-finals!


Back from Okinawa

We had a great time in Okinawa! Despite the threatening typhoon, the trip went smoothly. Students were very receptive to the more serious and educational aspects and well behaved during the fun activities. Looking forward to another amazing adventure


KAIS Volleyball

The volleyball season is upon us! Our high school boys and girls will begin practicing soon, and games will begin in mid-September. The high school boys will be defending their ISTAA Championship from last year. Come and support the teams.


KAIS Bowling Night

Don't forget to sign up for Bowling Night. We will leave school after cleaning on Thursday, Sept 4th, and head to Shibuya where teachers and students will bowl until 6:30pm. This event is free for students! Let the good times roll!

ISTAA Basketball tournament

The ISTA basketball happened at the beginning of March and much fun was had by all. HS boys finished in 2nd place, our first ever JH boys team gave it their all and came up just short. Go KAIS!


Boys Volleyball takes the championship!

The KAIS boy's volleyball team battled through several area teams in the ISTAA championship. After an extremely close game (in which KAIS was down by several points) the boys came back to defeat KIST and take home the trophy. Go KAIS!

KAIS in Hiroshima

During the second week of October, KAIS took the classroom outside to the wonderful city of Hiroshima! This three day excursion was our yearly school trip to a city in Japan, and one of many out-of-school activities that happen throughout the year!

New Chemistry equipment

As KAIS continues to expand, so do our facilities. This school year began with a huge addition to our Chemistry supplies including glassware, reagents, safety equipment, hot plates with magnetic stirs etc. We can't wait to test it all out!


Junior high school chicks hatch!

For their end of the year project, the junior high school is raising chickens! They finally hatched late last week and are now in their new home. We will be learning about food production and factory farming, plus observing the chicken's behavior.


KAIS in Cambodia!

KAIS Hiroshima Trip

SAT and AP Registration
